Mary Ann (Dobay) Nordby, 84, of Indiana, PA., passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home, Indiana, PA.

She was the daughter of John and Anna (Sopko) Dobay, born on September 18, 1926 in Coral, PA.

Mary Ann was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church where she was a member of the CD of A and very active in all of the church affairs. She worked for 35 years at the First Federal Bank in Indiana. Mary Ann loved to cook, play cards and watch sports. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by one son, William P. and wife Diana of Rural Valley, PA; three grandchildren, Patrick, Krista and Collin; two sisters, Margaret Raykos of Bethlehem, PA; Dorothy Danchik and husband of Ocean Pines, MD; one brother, Albert Dobay and wife Mary of Coral, PA.and many nieces and nephews

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wallace F. “Wally” Nordby; one son, Jimmy and one sister, Helen Yencko.

Friends will be received on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Bence-Mihalcik Funeral Home, Indiana, with a prayer service at 3:45p.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
