James Otis Bass Jr., 58, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021 went home to be with the lord after a brief entry, at Norton Community Hospital.
James graduated Powell Valley High School class of 1981, he was a retired auto worker, after retiring from Hutchinson sealing systems after 23 years of service. James not only loved to work but enjoyed mechanics as a lifelong hobby. In early life James enjoyed motorcycle riding and vehicle restoration.
As he settled into mid-life James found his lifelong love and friend his wife Mrs. Cynthia Lee Bass. From his marriage of 18 years, James gained a loving, caring daughter Ciju Nicole Bass, born August 19, 1987, and a 'hard headed" son, James Lee Bass, born October 23, 1991.,
In James later life he came to find a new love in himself for the lord Jesus Christ on May 22,2020, He made his way to an old-fashioned alter of prayer and dedicated the remainder of his life to the Lord. He was baptized into the body of Christ, sealing his redemption by his best friend and son Evangelist James Lee Bass.
He was a member of the House of Prayer in Jesus Name in Morristown, TN. A lifelong family friend, Elder Allen Williams and wife Christie will be officiating his funeral service, fellow members and friends in the Church will sing songs of celebration for his life.
James leaves behind a long list of friends and family, his daughter CIJI Nicole Bass, and son in law Sam Harris, His son James Lee Bass and daughter in law Sierra Bass, his grandchildren; Malakye and Chloe Harris , Keighlee, Annabella and Braighlee Bass, sisters Karen Collins, and Linda Bass, Brothers; Tim Bass and Frank Ralph Scott Bass, several foster children, other close relatives and friends.
