Norma Jean Adams passed away on February 11, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born in 1930 to Benjiman and Alease Herndon. She was married to the late Earl Adams. She lived in Danville and resided in the same residence since she was 18 months old.
She was a Godly woman with a servant’s heart. She was a life member of the Salvation Army. She served as the Corps Sgt. Major of the Danville Corps for nearly 5 decades. She was employed by King’s Department Store and at Belk Leggett. She also worked for the Danville Police Dept. for 63 years as a school crossing guard at Forest Hills Elementary School.
She is survived by her 5 children, Clarence Adams (Mary), Bobby Adams (Libby), Wanda Henderson (Gene), Tommy Adams and Dennis Adams; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be at Schoolfield Cemetery.
