“Uncle Pat”, as many fondly called him, was born on December 5, 1935 to Clara and Walter McLaughlin. He worked as a laborer in many parts of the Lodi and Ovid area, helping everyone he met. Pat was a feisty character who was always pulling pranks on his unsuspecting friends and had the most infectious laugh. Until recent years, he could be seen walking around the Village of Ovid, visiting friends, gardening at his home or sharing a bubbly beverage with his longtime friends at the local VFW and American Legion.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife Virginia McLaughlin; stepson Logan Goldinger of Ovid, NY; step-daughters Helen (Robert) Berdell of Ovid, NY and Dixie Castrenze and companion Allen Harder of Richford, NY; sister Elsie Spencer of Auburn, NY and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Patrick was preceeded in death by his 5 brothers Leon, John (Jack), Robert, James, Daniel and sister Jean.
