Thomas P. Malone III of Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday February 7, 2021. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Amelia (Briganti) Malone of Bloomfield and the late Samuel T Malone. He was raised in Bloomfield, graduated from Northwest Catholic High School, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from UCONN. He was employed at Cigna, Prudential and most recently Lowes. Tom had many friends and enjoyed spending his free time with them. He had a big heart and Tom and his truck were always “on call” for anyone, anytime. He was an avid sports fan (especially loved the Boston Bruins) and if he could have chosen the day of his passing; it is appropriate he passed away on Super Bowl Sunday. He enjoyed outdoor adventures, from his younger days of riding snowmobiles and dirt bikes, skiing, and windsurfing to camping as he got older. He cherished the memories of family time at Hawk’s Nest Beach, league bowling under the watchful eye of his father, and spending time with his Uncle Jim (who had 5 daughters) as a surrogate son. Besides his mother Amelia, he leaves two sisters Patricia A. Malone of Bloomfield and Anne Marie Malone of Granby; three nephews Michael Kniffin, Daquan and Kyirell Sheffield; Aunts Tina and Flora; close cousins in the New Haven area; and close family friend Eric Crone. Gratitude to Rick Zito, Debbie Aceto and all those who quietly gave their support to Amelia and Tom after Samuel’s passing. Arrangements for a Memorial Service will be made in the Spring with Entombment in Mount Saint Benedict Mausoleum. Donations may be made to a dog rescue organization of the donor’s choice. The Carmon Windsor Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.
