Mrs. Carolyn Ann Wilson, of Tampa, passed away Tuesday, February 02, 2021. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 13, at 11 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, with Reverend Jeffrey Mitchell, officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Carolyn Wilson was a native of Live Oak, FL and a resident of Tampa for 67 years. Mrs. Wilson graduated from Howard W. Blake High School, Class of 1965, and furthered her education at Gibbs Junior College. She played the clarinet in the band, was a member of Esquirettes - a 1965 Senior Cotillion Debutante, a student in the Mechanical Drawing class and she was voted “Best Dressed” of her Senior class. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Rivers of Life Church Ministries, where she served on the Usher Ministry. She was employed as a Supervisor of Avionic Inspectors for specialized guidance systems at Honeywell until her retirement. After retirement, Carolyn worked part-time as a food service assistant at Robles Elementary School, and then later secured a staff position at Hanna Oaks Center for Assisted Living. During her spare time, she has served in the East Tampa Community as a Brownie Troop Leader, a board member for the Orange Hill Cemetery Restoration Association, a member of the Woodland Terrace Community Neighborhood Crime Watch, and an honorary member of the Tampa, FL Professional Chapter of SISTUHS, Inc.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by: her loving and devoted husband, William John Wilson; mother, Priscilla Green; father, Willie Alfred Green; and brother, Larry Green.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children, Pamela Wilson-Caruthers, Stanley Wilson (Rana), Christina Wilson-Smith (Torium), and Priscilla Conyers (John); nephew/son, Tristan Green (Letasha); stepson, John Hudgins; grandchildren, LáKendra Joy (Tyrone), Kenyetta White (Jamar), Kynarra Caruthers, Stansheala Wilson, Rashard Isaac, Sydni Wilson, Reagan Wilson, Tori Smith, Aaron Smith, Lea Conyers, and Ava Conyers; great grandchildren, Christian Joy, Kenneth Caruthers, Jakhyia White, Jamar White, Jr., Kareem White, LaNarra Caruthers, and Travis Weller; brothers, Arthur Bevel, Michael Green, and Willie Green, Jr. (Lorraine); sisters, Alfreda Hunter, Katherine Davis, Grace Green, Linda G. Williams, Marian Green, and Sheila Scott (Harold); special friends, Evangeline Best, Jerry & Luvenia Balloon, Louise Johnson, Joyce Carroll, Ann Legree, Carolyn Taylor, Fern St. Neighbors, and Woodland Terrace Neighborhood; a host of nieces and nephews and other sorrowing relatives and friends.

The remains will repose from 3 – 7 p.m. on Friday, February 12, at Ray Williams Funeral Home. We are asking family and friends to please follow the CDC Guidelines. Masks are required. Arrangements entrusted to RAY WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
