Opelousas – A Funeral Service will be held for Mrs. Judy Sanchon Doucet on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Fr. Clint Trahan will conduct the service. Burial will follow at St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Mrs. Judy entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 64, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Judy enjoyed playing bingo and pokeno; reading books and listening to the radio, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert Doucet; sons, Adraius Doucet (Michelle) of Grand Prairie and Coby Doucet (Betsy) of Krotz Springs; daughter, Adrienne Doucet (Carlos) of Port Barre; sisters, Linda White of Elizabethon, TN and Guilda Black of Prairieville; and grandchildren, Caden and Carson Doucet of Grand Prairie.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adraius and Ella Mae Sanchon; brothers, Albert Sanchon and Jerry Sanchon; and sister, Trudy Wiltz.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. (OPEN ALL NIGHT) in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
