She died at her home two miles north of Guthrie Center on Highway 25. Her clothing caught on fire, burning her to death in a couple minutes. Her son Gerald found her laying on the ground between the house and the woodshed, with the clothes on the upper portion of her body completely burned off and her face and body badly burned. The Coroner determined she died from inhalation of fumes, fire and burning.
