Dorothy Louise Graham, age 89, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Parkridge Specialty Care in Pleasant Hill.

Dorothy was born March 23, 1931 in Seymour, Iowa to Carroll and Dora Frakes. She was a lifelong member of Berean Assembly of God Church and treasured her church family. Dorothy took pride in spoiling her family, especially at Christmas time. She was an amazing cook and loved cooking for large family gatherings that she hosted on Sundays. If you left hungry, it was your fault! Above all else, Dorothy cherished time spent with her family just being together, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Ralph Graham, Paul (Kathi) Graham, Deborah (Ernie) Mickle, Diane Graham, Timothy (Doris) Graham, and Jon Mark Gilbert; daughter-in-law, Jenny Gilbert; sister, Wynetta (David) Houghton; grandchildren, Wendy Mickle, Chad (Stephanie) Mickle, Jessica Graham (Jamie Elswick), Andrew Graham, and Kristina Graham; great-grandchildren, Conlyn Mickle, Kaden Graham, Ethan Elswick, Aden Elswick, Devon Gilbert, Ariana Gomez, Trista Jenks, Abagayle Mickle, Alison Whitson, Kylie Elswick, Gracelyn Graham, Alexis Whitson, Madalyne Graham, Shaelynn Graham, and Kynlee Graham; great-great-granddaughter, Irelin Shehan; and other loving relatives and many special friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Graham; parents, Carroll and Dora Frakes; son, Roy Graham; and sister, Rosalie Miller.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Berean Church, 5299 East University Avenue, Pleasant Hill. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
