Patti Lynn Taylor was born September 20, 1958, in Beaver, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Garland and Patricia (Parker) Taylor. She died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, at her home in Tulsa. She was 49 years of age. Patti moved to Canton with her parents at an early age where she began her formal education. Her dad took a teaching position in Fairview and the family moved there where she graduated from Fairview High School with the class of 1976. During her high school years, she was crowned Fairview Rodeo Queen. Patti was united in marriage to Jim Chrisman at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene. They were blessed with two sons: Johnathan and Jeremiah. Later, Patti moved to Port Angeles, Washington where she became a certified 911 operator. Much of her adult life was spent volunteering with children and those in need. She moved to Maine where she learned sign language and helped deaf children communicate. In 2006, she returned to Oklahoma to be closer to her family. She attended Highland Park Christian Church in Tulsa. She is survived by two sons: Johnathan Chrisman and wife Stephanie, of Edmond, and Jeremiah Chrisman and wife, Brandie of Stillwater; one granddaughter: Dakota Nicole Chrisman; her father and step-mother: Garland and Belva Taylor of Camargo; two sisters: Kim Cargill of Cache, and Darla Pierce of Tuttle; two brothers: Grant Taylor of Goltry, and Meredith Chipman of Weatherford. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and one sister: Gayla Cox. Patti will be greatly missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Cedar Springs Church of the Nazarene, southwest of Fairview, with Pastor Herb Berkley, officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Redinger Funeral Home in Seiling. The Family will be at the church for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, Oct. 8, 2007. Memorials can be made to the Patti Taylor Memorial Fund. Redinger Funeral Home, PO Box 236, Seiling, OK 73663, will serve as custodian of the funds.
