Richard Lee Vega, age 65 of West Orange, Texas, passed away in Bridge City, Texas on Monday, February 8, 2021. A memorial service to honor his life will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Dorman Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at Dorman Funeral Home.

Richard was born in Port Arthur, Texas on May 25, 1955 to Dorsey June Youngblood Vega and Richard Vega. He worked as an Industrial Painter with Trinity Rail Car. Richard spent many hours rebuilding Harley motorcycles that he loved so much. He enjoyed fishing with family and friends. He took great pride in taking care of lawn and could always be found on his lawn mower.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Tina Vega, mother and father in law, Reuben and Beverly Sweezy and, first wife Glenda Kay Vega.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Dawn Almonte and her husband Adam of Vidor, TX, Donnie Roberts and his wife Kelli of Pineville, LA and Brittany Ledet and wife Heather of Orange, TX, brother-in-laws; Tom Tincher and Jan Phariss of Bridge City, TX, David Tincher and his wife Donna of Orange, TX and Mike Sweezy of Orange, TX, sister-in-law Susan Windsor and her husband Steve of Elkhart, IN, grandchildren; Skyler Petitjean, Christian Petitjean, Preston Petijean, Brielle Winfree, Brynnlie Winfree and Mason Roberts and numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.
