Reid Fuller, 96 of Manchester passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the Warm Springs Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be 1:30 pm, Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Meriwether Memory Gardens with Dr. Bob Patterson officiating.

Mr. Fuller was born May 13, 1924 in Talbot County, the son of Jesse Mercer Fuller and Lucy Buchanan Fuller. After his graduation from Manchester High School, he took a job with the railroad before being drafted into the army during WWII. Mr. Fuller was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism during his service. After the war, he returned to the railroad where he worked as a Machinist for 45 years retiring from CSX.

During his retirement, he and his wife, Joan owned and operated the Windspinner gift shop in Warm Springs for 16 years. Mr. Fuller was a member of Warm Springs First Baptist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, golf, wood working and metal work.

Mr. Fuller was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, J.L. Fuller and one sister, Amanda Fuller Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Avey Fuller of Manchester; his sons, Doug Fuller and his wife, Cindy of Macon, Thad Fuller and his wife, Shaunna of Trophy Club, TX, Mark Fuller and his wife, Kim of Elberton; six grandchildren, Kelley Land (John), Katie Barnes (Murray), Dusty Fuller (Christy), Sarah Clair Fuller, Steven Reid Fuller and Grace Avey Fuller; four great grandchildren, Samantha and Natalie Land and Andrew and Emery Fuller.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to First Baptist Church, 5700 Springs Street, Warm Springs, GA.

Cox Funeral Home, Manchester is assisting the family with arrangements.
