August 22, 1941 - February 9, 2021
Suzanne Marie Campbell’s work here is done. Her next journey takes her to that wonderful place she has always imagined. She will be practicing her Catholic faith, watching over her family and others still on earth, socializing and watching tv (Notre Dame, the Dodgers and Chicago sports) to her heart’s content. On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the gates of Heaven opened for a new angel and Suzanne arrived.
Born on August 22, 1941, in Peoria, Illinois, Suzanne was the proud daughter of Francis Moehn and Johnston Pratt, both who preceded her in death. Suzanne was also the proud sister of William Pratt who preceded her in death. Suzanne is survived by her former husband, Roger Campbell and was the proud mother of four surviving children; Wendy Campbell (husband Gerald Scherer) of Peoria, Illinois, Brent Campbell of Chicago, Illinois, Troy Campbell (wife Traci Campbell) of Plainfield, Illinois and Brian Campbell (wife Amber Campbell) of Gilbert Arizona. Suzanne was closely watched over by her surviving grandchildren; Aiyana, Aidan, Stella and Briggs.
She worked very hard all her life, for the better of her family and faith. The success of her family was always at the forefront of her thought. She spent many hours in her early days as a beautician. She always enjoyed making people feel and look great as they left her care.
We will miss her dearly. However, are at peace knowing we will continue to feel her presence and remember the many lessons she taught us as we move through life on earth.
She was gratified by the company of all people and a visitation is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2021, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary. Father David Richardson will officiate a private family mass at St. Philomena Church with final entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Philomena School on her behalf.
