Katherine M. Suhr

Katherine M. Suhr, 91, of Scribner, died Thursday at Good Samaritan Center in Scribner.

Mrs. Suhr was born Sept. 23, 1893 in rural Scribner. She and her husband farmed near Scribner until 1949, when they retired and moved into Scribner. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center six weeks ago.

Mrs Suhr was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the church ladies aid and the altar guild.

The former Katherine VonSeggern married Emil Suhr on Oct. 24, 1913. He preceeded her in death on Jan 5, 1972.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Alice) Pojar of Fremont, Ada Colberg of Cypress, Calif., and Mrs. Allen (Katherine) Boschult of Scribner; two sons, Emil Jr. of Hooper and Lenard of Scribner; 15 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in rural Scribner. The Rev. Joe Marek will officiate.

Visitation is in progress until 9 tonight at Warne Funeral Home in Scribner. Visitation will continue from noon Saturday until time of Service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
