Karen Sue Woods Ramsey (“Gee” to her beloved family), 68, of Signal Mountain, TN, entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday, February 11, 2021 forever to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her treasured parents, Harry Woodrow Woods, Sr. and Mary Sue Ellard Woods.

Being an athlete, Karen was a cheerleader in Junior High school, and later enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and even hunting and fishing. She loved coaching her girls and their friends in basketball, soccer, and softball. Karen was a longtime active member of Woodland Park Baptist Church and loved spending her time ministering to others about the love of Christ through mission trips and Child Evangelism. In recent years, she enjoyed serving others as a Realtor.

She also loved spending time with her family, supporting them, cheering for them, and covering them in her prayers. Until they are reunited in glory, her family remains the love of her life, Winfred H. Ramsey; Melanie Burchfield Griffey, Allyson (Dustin) Watkins, Carter and Ella, Bennett and Landon Griffey; Jennifer Burchfield (Thomas) Peck and Spencer; Terri Lynn (Steve) Goine and Shane, Ashley Ann (Tripp) Kennedy and Harper, Madden, and Avett, Shelby (Trevor) Pennington; Michele (Eddie) Rasnake and Lauren, Michael, Blake and Chandler; Richard (Victoria) Ramsey and Virginia and Sarah; Harry (Sharon) Woods, Jr and Lance and Kaitlyn, Chris and Perry; and an abundance of other precious family members.

She would want you to know, the answer to it all is Jesus. The longing you feel, the joy you desire, the need that tugs at you, is for Jesus. You cannot be too flawed or have made too many mistakes for Jesus. You are perfectly and wonderfully made and God will cause ALL things to work together for good. He is there, armed with grace, and loving you just as you are.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 PM Monday, February 15, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

A funeral service will be held at 6:30 PM Monday, February 15, 2021, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eddie Rasnake officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 12:30 PM Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
