David Parsons, age 65 of Sweetwater, formerly of Lenoir City passed away on February 11, 2021. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war serving in the U. S. Army. David was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. When he was able, David enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments. Preceded in death by his parents, Wilma Talley, Kenneth and Patsy Parsons; brothers, Scott Bolduc and Calvin Parsons. Survived by his daughters, Tracy Tyler Parsons, and Dorothy Faye Parsons Ellis; son-in-law, Morgan Ellis; grandchildren: Amanda, Kaitlyn, Alex Ellis, Monique Ellis, Jenna Ellis, Braylee Ellis, Lilyana Ellis, Raylyn Ellis, Michael Sonner-Ellis; aunt, Sylvia Easterday; brothers, Steve and Dennis Parsons; sisters, Brenda White and Robin Cadle; many nieces, nephews and cousins to include Tina Burkett (Beth); great niece, Erikka “KK” Atkinson. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, February 15th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10:30 Tuesday morning and we will proceed to the Lakeview Cemetery for 11 a.m. graveside services with full military honors.
