Catherine A. Cunningham, 92, died Thursday morning, February 11, 2021, at Walden III in Wind Gap, where she was a resident since September 2018. She was the widow of Frank W. McKinney who passed in 1984 and subsequently Francis T. Cunningham who passed in 1991.

Born on March 10, 1928 in Bethlehem, she was the last of five children to the late Sterling and Eleanor (Stine) Unangst. She lived in Fairless Hills from 1950 to 1974, Stroudsburg from 1974 to 1987, and then Gettysburg until moving to Wind Gap.

In addition to being a homemaker for many years, she worked in the dietary department of Gettysburg Hospital.

Catherine loved animals, and she enjoyed playing the organ, singing, reading biographies and recipe books, and gardening. She was a humble, sweet, and private person who enjoyed her independence and left a grand mark on all who knew her.

Surviving are three children, Diane McKinney and husband Bret Obin of Palm Coast, FL, Michelle Prevoznik and husband John of Stroudsburg, and Rory McKinney and wife Peggy of East Stroudsburg; two grandchildren, Jon Pachorkowsky and Heather Kowalishen and her husband Michael; four great-grandchildren, Jude Pachorkowsky, Paige Pachorkowsky, Alyssa Pachorkowsky, and Ellie Grace Kowalishen; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three sons, Robert P. McKinney in 1951, Frank W. McKinney, Jr. in 1971, and Ronald B. McKinney in 1989, and two grandchildren, Gillian McKinney in 1989, and Allysa Obin in 1994.

A private memorial service will take place at the convenience of the family with burial at a later date in Newtown Cemetery.
