Lifelong resident of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Florence M. (Murphy). Cherished son of the late Anne J. (England). Loving father of Mary Derrick, Thomas Gibbons Jr., Michael Gibbons, Joseph Gibbons, Edward Gibbons, Anne Marie Quinn, Janet Perno, Francis Gibbons, Patrick Gibbons, Daniel Gibbons, and the late John Gibbons. Dear brother of the late Grace Farrell and Jeanne Wilson. Proud ‘Grandpa’ of many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Retired Superintendent of the Service Dept. for Commonwealth Gas. Longtime member of the Retired Men’s Club of Arlington. Late WWII and Korean Conflict Navy Veteran. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7PM in St. John's Church, 2254 Mass Ave., in North Cambridge. All attendees are required to wear face coverings, practice social distancing, kindly enter through the Mass Ave. doors, pay their respects and exit the side doors to allow other guests to enter.
