Wilma A. Fields, 97 passed away peacefully at the Presbyterian Manor in Emporia, Kansas on February 8, 2021. She was born August 22, 1923 on a farm by Westphalia, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Katherine Watson, her 4 sisters and 2 brothers, her oldest son Donald Benson and her youngest son Randy Benson.
She married Donald Benson in 1940 and they had 3 children. They were divorced. She is survived by her daughter , her daughter in law . She is survived by 8 grandchildren. She also has 16 great grandchildren and numerous great, great grandchildren.
Wilma owned and operated pla-port resort in Shell Knob Missouri for over 25 years prior to her retirement. She loved to dance, play cards and bingo. She was an avid hand quilter that she enjoyed doing until two years ago due to her eyesight.
Prior to moving to Kansas, to live with her daughter , Wilma made her home in Maynard, Arkansas. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in Poplar Bluff Missouri.
