Stevie Dwayne Abshire, age 66 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

He was a concrete truck driver and a member of the United Steel Workers.

Stevie was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on July 22, 1954 the son of the late Oliver and Betty Jo Sawyers Abshire.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Flora “Flo” (Smith) Abshire on February 23, 2020.

He is survived by two daughters, Misty Abshire and Mitzi Stapleton (Lester) all of Pikeville, Kentucky.

He is also survived by one grandson, Steven Connor Stapleton.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the J.W. Call Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 Noon with Chris Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin, Kentucky.
