Bonham, Texas -- Timothy Charles Terry was born on December 28, 1951, in Bonham, Texas. He went to his Heavenly Home on February 4, 2021, after a month’s battle.

Tim loved baseball as a boy and joined the U.S. Air Force directly after high school. He met the love of his life, Sharon, at Faith Bible College in Tyler, Texas. They lived in Overton, Texas where he welded oil tanks until Mariana and Joel were born. When the economy slowed, they moved to Bonham where John and Ruth were born. He then served on Union Pacific railroad repair gangs for 18 years. After his time on the railroad, he worked at and retired from Choice Moore Prison in 2014.

Tim was saved on August 22, 1971. His early spiritual life grew under his US Air Force superior, K C Hunter and his wife Lena. He was baptized in the Gulf of Mexico on March 12, 1972. He enjoyed sharing Jesus, played guitar and led songs at a coffee shop and did door-to- door visitation. Bible study was always a big part of his life. In later years he liked to praise God by playing his guitar and making up songs privately and especially loved worship at Trinity Lighthouse Church. He made many friends there at Coffee and Donuts, house meetings, and visiting after services.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ella Mai Brannon and Jesse Brannon; father, Billy Carl Terry, mother, Mary Ella Kirby, step-father, Leroy Kirby, brother John Mark Terry and brother-in-law, Donald Walley.
Tim left behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 45 years, Sharon, daughter Mariana Gollaher and husband Ki, granddaughters Charity and Serenity; son Joel Terry and wife Kristen and granddaughter Teagyn, son John Terry, daughter Ruth Gutierrez-Terry and husband Kelvin, grandsons Christopher and Andrew; brother, Bill Terry and wife Carol of Bonham; sisters, Pat Walley of Bonham, Melanie Woodruff and husband, Stan of Trenton and Kayla Kirby of LA California, nephews, nieces, and friends.

The memorial service will be held at Trinity Lighthouse Church, 2915 Spur 503, Denison, Texas 75020 on Friday, February 12 at 6:00 p.m. The service will be on FaceBook and YouTube.
