Albert S. Adams, formerly of Nevada, died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2003, at 1 a.m. at Wyandot Manor Nursing Home, where he had been residing for the past two years. He was 64. Born on May 18, 1939, in Upper Sandusky, he was the son of Albert and Opal (Sizemore) Adams. He married Marsena Easter. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dana Newland, Nevada; two grandchildren, David Newland II and Brodie Newland; and two brothers, Jay Adams, Nevada; and Don Adams, Bucyrus. Mr. Adams retired from Indian Mill Resort, where he served as a maintenance supervisor. Earlier, he worked at Carey Plastics as a supervisor for many years. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, his hobbies included woodworking, carpentry, small motor repair and electronics. A memorial service will be Thursday at 5 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home with the Rev. George Kolarik officiating. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery at a later date. Mr. Adams wanted to be cremated. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Diabetes Foundation or the American Cancer Society in care of Lucas Funeral Home, PO Box 207, Upper Sandusky, OH, 43351.
