Edward Allen Sr., 89, of Rensselaer, IN, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at White Oaks Health Campus in Monticello, IN. Edward was born in Ironton, OH on May 14, 1931, the son of Elliott D. and Nannie (Salyers) Allen.

Edward was educated in the Wheatfield school system. After graduating, he had a 7 year career with the US Marines and then went on to work as a Millwright at Northway Products in Rensselaer until he retired. He married Juanita Sommers on August 28, 1961 in Folkston, GA and she preceded him in death on April 8, 2014.

Edward was affiliated with the Protestant Church. He was also a member of the Wheatfield American Legion Post #406.

Edward is survived by his children, Jack, Terry, Tim, Cindy, Eddie Jr., Steve, and Sheila; siblings, Betty (Harris) Hale and Larry (Sherry) Allen; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Juanita, and eleven brothers and sisters
