William “Butch” Ellsworth Garrison Sr., 77, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on February 5, 2021 at his home.

Butch was born in Cheverly, MD on October 27, 1943 to the late Margaret Louise Anderson Garrison and Richard Francis Garrison. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Sandra Jean Garrison; sons, Willy Garrison (Karla) of California, MD, Ricky Garrison (Laurie) of Hughesville, MD, Robert Garrison (Angie) of Mechanicsville, MD, Allen Wilkes of Mechanicsville, MD and Daryl Wilkes of Greensboro, NC; daughters, Wendy Mattingly (Charlie) of Morganza, MD, Lorie Tobey (Rick) of Milford, DE, and Tammy Farrell (Eddie) of Hollywood, MD; son-in-law Randy Mays of Piney Point, MD; 24 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, Paul Garrison, Barbara Garrison and Carrie McLane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughters, Barbara Anne Jones, and Becky Mays; his siblings, Tommy Garrison, Richard “Buddy” Garrison, and Margaret “Sissy” Royer.
Butch was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time on his boat with family and friends. He loved to travel; cruises, trips to the beach, and trips to the casino were some of his favorites and going out to dinner.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory, Charlotte Hall, MD. Funeral Service initiated by Deacon Kyte, starts at 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD. Pallbearers will be Randy Mays, Jacob Garrison, Thomas Farrell, Eddie Farrell, Brian Mays, Rick Tobey.
