Paul passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 92. Born in Mt. Home, Arkansas, he grew up the youngest son of Croff and Mattie Cox. He joined the Navy at 17, serving on a submarine during the Korean War. He met Helen Cleven Dow while working on the Chief Joseph Dam and in 1954 they married, making him dad to Patty Zoe and Harvey 'Bud' Dow.

Paul and Helen made their home in the Pinehurst neighborhood in Everett where he lived for over 65 years, he was proud to say he still mowed his own lawn. Paul's working life was spent as an Everett mail carrier, and on drives around town, he loved to point out his old routes. After retiring from the PO, he worked for several years at the Everett and Snohomish liquor stores, enjoying new friendships and tours through Washington Wine country. Paul was happiest outdoors, hunting, fishing and hiking, cutting firewood and gardening. His vegetables are legendary. He rarely missed the Thursday morning breakfast at Claremont Bowling Alley with his post office cronies and he bowled on a league into his 80's.

His was a life well lived and though we will miss him, we find comfort knowing he joins his beloved Helen, son Bud and granddaughters Jill West and Dalene Dow. Paul is survived by daughter Pat Campbell (Ray), grandchildren Lynda Van Wyk (Doug), Mike Campbell (Debbie), Gayle Campbell (Bryce Hoerath), Danna Wahl (Steve) and Duane Dow. He also leaves great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as special friend and loved one Myrt Goetsch. Paul remained connected to his family in Arkansas and will be missed by much loved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone at Garden Court for their loving care during his final days.

"Time marches on and change is inevitable,

But the one thing right and true in this world is Family.

To watch where we are going,

To know where we have been,

and to be with us in the end,

for comfort and to carry on."
