Mrs. Wilma Allen died Monday, August 13, 2018 in her Harker Heights, Texas home.

Graveside services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Ashford City Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday, August 30, 2018.

She was born on January 22, 1930 to Henry M. and Bernice Rollins Anglin of Pansey and Dothan, Alabama.

While she was a civilian secretary at Fort Rucker, Alabama, she was invited to lunch by the Army Flight Instructor who would later become her husband. She married Kenneth W. Allen on April 28, 1969 in Honolulu, Hawaii where he was on R and R from Viet Nam. They have lived in Harker Heights since April 1990.

Wilma was active in area politics as a Precinct Chair and Election Judge for several years. She was a charter member of Bell County Texas Democratic Women where she served a term as President. She also served as state Vice President of Texas Democratic Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts, uncles and her niece, Terri Lynn Burke.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth Allen, sister-in-law Jennifer Burke of Dothan and a nephew Jimmy Mark Burke of Athens, GA.
