Funeral services for Daniel Q. Wilson, 89, of Warrenton, formerly of Warthen, who died on Friday, Jan. 26, in Memorial Hospital here were held Sunday, Jan. 28
at ___, Bethlehem Baptist Church in Warthen. The Rev. David Aycock and the Rev. W. O. Akins officiated. Interment was in the Warthen Cemetery. Mr. Wilson was
the son of the late Dr. W. R. Wilson and Mrs. Cathrine Morrison Wilson. He was born in Montgomery County. He was a member of Pine Hill Methodist Church, a retired farmer, and a Mason. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Celia May; three daughters, Mrs. J.B. Wall Jr., of Sandersville, Mrs. James Johnson of Augusta, Mrs. Dewey Ricketson of Warrenton; six sons, John W. Wilson of
Florence, S.C., W.E. Wilson of Milledgeville, Lieut. Col. D. Q. Wilson Jr., of Tampa, Fla., MSgt. W.R. Wilson of Deridder, La., Olin Wilson of Warrenton and Dr. S.V. Wilson of Manchester; 26 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
The grandsons served as active pallbearers. Mayo Funeral Home of Sandersville was in charge of the arrangements.
