Pam, the daughter of Lester and Garnet (Bailey) Dennis, was on born June 20, 1959, in West Covina, California. Her family moved to Iowa when she was a baby. She attended school in Des Moines and then moved to Colfax, where she graduated from Colfax High School in 1977.

She began working at Lazy Ike, a fishing lure company. One day, her co-workers decided a group of them should go out some night, but Pam didn’t have a date. One of the co-workers said she’d bring her son, Albert, to be Pam’s date for the night. One date turned into many more, and Albert and Pam were married on June 3, 1978.

Pam loved kids—especially her grandkids. She was an in-home daycare provider for many years and also taught Sunday school at the United Pentecostal Church, where she was a longtime member. Pam enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, fishing, camping, attending yearly Camp Meetings in Alaska, and anything Winnie the Pooh. She also enjoyed blowing bubbles, even researching how she could make different shapes and sizes of bubbles. The neighborhood kids affectionately referred to her as “The Bubble Lady.”

Pam is survived by her husband, Albert Gregory of Colfax; daughter, Jennifer (Brett) Van Ryswyk of Prairie City; “adopted” daughter, Cassie (Robert) Potter of Linden, California; her grandchildren, Malcom, Patrick and Harrison Van Ryswyk and Jayson and Andrew Potter; her parents, Lester and Garnet Dennis of Streetman, TX; her siblings, Bruce (Cindy) Dennis of Prairie City and Penny Dennis of Mitchellville; and many nieces and nephews.

Pam was preceded in death by her brother, Rick Dennis.
