CLARA Q. AGUILERA, 95, a lifelong resident of Lordsburg passed away Friday February 5, 2021 in Albuquerque.
A rosary will be Tuesday February 16, 2021 at 10 o’clock in the morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow with Fr. Jude Okonkwo, Pastor officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Shakespeare Cemetery.
Clara was born August 12, 1925 in Lordsburg to Jose and Brigida (Arambula) Quintana. She worked at Amins Department Store for many years and managed it for quite some time. Clara enjoyed knitting, doing crossword puzzles, gardening and reading romance novels. Her nephew remembers her as being a “Foodie” and that she was always a “Fashionista”. Clara was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by 1 sister, Maria Garcia of Tucson and numerous nieces and nephews. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Reyes “Guedo” Aguilera; 3 brothers Mike, Danny and Joe and 2 sisters, Joaquina and Lolita.
