Inscription
High railed enclosure with a worn and broken slab. Inscribed at top is the family coat of arms. Text reads:
"Remember man that thou are dust and into dust thou shalt return".
In veneration and respect to the remains of the CAULFIELD family,
here deposited, this monument is erected.
Mr John Caulfield departed this life the 5th of April 1814, aged 78.
His wife Rose Caulfield on the 28th of March 1818 aged 76.
Mr Dennis Caulfield on the 13th of Dec 1819 aged 51 : A gentleman whose death will be long regretted and longer felt by the inhabitants of Newry, born with extraordinary talents which were incessantly exercised by an ardent desire for the embellishment of his native town and the promotion of its commerce success seldom failed to crown his wise and ??? ??? on elegance to compliment his improving ???.
His wife Rose Caulfield on the 20th December 1820 aged 34.
Louisa youngest daughter of Constantine Maguire Esq. died 15 May 1845 aged 2 years.
Mary eldest daughter of the above died 21st March 1848 aged 21 years.
Constantine Maguire Esq died 31st July 1849 aged 48 years.
Mary Maguire, mother of the above died 27th July 1854 aged 84 years.
Catherine Caulfield sister of the above died 1854 aged 83 years.
Henrietta Maguire died 11th July 1860 aged 19 years.
Emma Maguire died 15 May 1864 aged 30 years.
Thomas Maguire Esq died 23 Feby 1873 aged 43 years.
Denis Maguire Esq died 18 Feby 1875 aged 84 years.
Rose Maguire widow of Constantine Maguire died 30th March 1879 aged 77 years.
