Hazel Josephine Thompson, age 9, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 in Kermit, TX.
She was born in Odessa, TX on December 13, 2011 to Michael and Margaret (Slayton) Thompson.
Hazel loved animals and was very active in 4-H raising animals. She was your typical little girl who loved to sing and dance and loved bright vibrant colors. Hazel enjoyed being outdoors riding 4 wheelers, go carts, and horses. She will be dearly missed by all.
Hazel is survived by her parents: Michael and Margie Thompson of Kermit, TX; grandparents: Glenn and Sheree Slayton of Kermit, TX; sister: Abby Thompson of Kermit, TX; uncles: Rex Thompson, Danny Thompson and wife Gaylene, David Thompson and wife Michelle, all of Coleman County, James Slayton and wife Heather of Kermit, Tx, Rusty Slayton and wife Katrina of Cristoval, TX, David Turnbull, and Edward Hausgen; aunt: Cindy Watson of Coleman County; and numerous cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit, officiated by Chaplain Donnie Rollie. Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include: James Slayton, John Day, Nathan Harris, and John Wingrove. Honorary pallbearers will be: David Thompson, Ruby Thompson, Jeanie Thompson, and Ron Thompson
