Alice M. Decker, 41, wife of David L. Decker, died at 12:10 Sunday morning at their home, 1118 Grant street, after an illness of one year. She was bedfast the last 11 weeks. She was born near Plymouth, Ind., Sept. 10, 1894, the daughter of Lorence and Martha (Hay) Freese. Surviving beside her husband and her mother, Mrs. Freese, who lives at LaPorte, are three children by a former marriage--Helen Shiplock, at the Decker home, and Fred and William Shiplock of Knox, Ind., and a son by her second marriage, David L. Decker, Jr., also at the parental home. There also are six brothers and five sisters, all living near LaPorte. The funeral services will be held at the Dale White Chapel, 129 South Second street, at 2:30 pm Tuesday, in charge of the Rev. C.C. Chatfield of the Nazarene church. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
