Kevin Adkins, a native of Hamilton, AL and a resident of Wren, MS passed away Monday at his home.
Visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery, Natural Bridge, AL.
Kevin was a graduate of Hamilton High School. He attended Itawamba Community College in Fulton, MS and Mississippi State. He became employed with First National Bank in Hamilton, AL. He graduated from Alabama Banking School, Mobile, AL and then following he graduated from LSU Banking School, Baton Rouge, LA. He became branch manager for First National Bank in Lynn, AL; collection officer for First National Bank in Hamilton, AL; then became Vice President at First National Bank in Carbon Hill, AL. He was employed with them 24 years. In 2011 he became President and CEO of Amory Federal in Amory, MS.
Mr. Adkins was preceded in death by his father, Austin "Bop" Adkins; grandparents, Alfred Harlan and Goldie Adkins, Revis Leigh and Janet Walker Westbrook; grandparents in law, Jesse Ray and Mary Jo Courington; nephew, Leighton Andrews Todd; niece, Ava Claire Bryan; and good friend, Max Osborn.
