Helen Carr Gannon, 70, of Narragansett, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Kathleen V. (Carr) Gannon.

Helen was a Graduate of St. Paul School in Cranston and St Xavier Academy in Providence. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Rhode Island College and went on to work as an educator for St. Paul School in Cranston and Roger Williams Middle School in Providence. She was an active member of St. Paul Parish and served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was also a member of the Bonnet Shores Beach Club.

She was the cherished aunt of Richard N. Gannon, Jr. (Lynn) of Warwick, Scott M. Gannon (Amy) of North Kingstown, and Kerrie L. Graziano (Michael) of Cranston, the beloved grand-aunt of Katherine Gannon, Christopher Gannon, Alexis Graziano, and Jack Gannon, sister of the late Charles A. Gannon and the late Richard N. Gannon, sister-inlaw of Ann Gannon of Warwick and the loving owner of her fourlegged companions, Eddie and the late Sammy.

Helen gained much happiness through her circle of life-long friends. She had a gift to draw people in with her positivity, compassion, and generosity. Helen touched so many throughout her life – family, friends, neighbors, and students - and certainly left the world a better place.

Due to the Pandemic, a Private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Paul Church, Cranston. Interment at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket was private. Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to the Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave, Warwick.
