Obituary for Steven J. Gann
Steven Joe Gann, 51, a lifelong resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born on April 14, 1969 in Muskogee to Bobby Joe Gann and Lana June Pingleton where he grew up and attended public schools. He excelled in football and baseball and will always be remembered as a very talented athlete.
Steven worked as a technician for Suddenlink Communications and retired in 2020 due to health issues.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Bonnie Pingleton; paternal grandparents, John and Joy Gann; cousins, Darryn Mabe and Shawn Pingleton; uncle, David Gann; aunt, Patsy Baker; uncle and aunt, John and Wilma Gann.
Steven is survived by his daughters, Madison Paige (Gann) DeMasters of Gunter, TX, Carlee Gann of Muskogee; mother, Lane Price and husband Keith; father, Bobby Joe Gann and wife Betty, all of Muskogee; brother, Mark A. Gann of Muskogee; step-brothers, Blake Price of Moore and Brian Long of Muskogee; one very special granddaughter, Blakely Marie Gann; uncle and aunt, Jay and Janie Hanzark; aunt, Gracie Bonds; cousins, Rich Mabe and Cheryl Meridith, Teresa Cato, Jay Lee Hanzark, Brian Mabe and Chelsey, David Gann, Chris Gann, Cindy Baker, John Baker, Gary Gann, Terry Gann, and Sandy Neuzil; ex-spouse and mother of his daughters, Nikki Gann; nieces and nephews, Jordan Gann, Kenzie Gann, and Caleb Gann; along with many other family members and friends.
Steven’s life will be celebrated at 2PM, Friday, February 12, 2021 at Timothy Baptist Church with Mr. Kenny Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Rodney Palmer, Steve Ibarra, David Testerman, Gerald Glass, Tony Sutton, and Kyle Tingle serving as pallbearers.
