Donald Joiner, age 95, died of natural causes. He went to be with his Lord and savior; Jesus Christ, on February 8, 2021. He was a long-time member of Concord Baptist Church. Our dad was dependable, honest, and a devoted Christian, husband, and father. He was married for 72 years to our mom who loved him and saw to his every need. In the end he returned that love as evidenced by the way he cared for her 24/7 without a single complaint throughout her several years battle with dementia.

He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce N. Joiner, and his daughter; Donna Joiner Stoyas.

Survived by sister: Elizabeth Mays (Earl); sons: Patrick Joiner, Mark Joiner (Pam); daughters: Brenda Sellers (Richard), and Zelphi Wilson (Billy); son in law: Angelo Stoyas; grandsons: Damon Wilson, Brian and Darren Sellers, and Peter Stoyas; granddaughters: Athena Bolish, and Laura Matthews; plus thirteen great grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Patrick, Mark, and David Joiner, Billy and Damon Wilson, Darren and Brian Sellers

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 15, 2021 from 12:00pm-1pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, 2829 Rennoc Road Knoxville, Tn 37918 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm Officiated by Rev. Steve Peak. Friends and family will then proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery, 4401 Sutherland Ave, Knoxville TN 37919 for a 3:00Pm Graveside Service.
