Ann Jane Kelley was the daughter of William J. Kelley and Mary Courtenay. She was born c. 1850, most likely in Newry, County Armagh, Northern Ireland where her parents were married.

Ann was the eldest of 10 children and the only one born in Ireland. She came to Canada and settled in Niagara Township with her parents c. December 1853.

Ann was married to George Martin Secord on 31 Jan 1872 by the Rev. Charles Campbell in the Niagara Township by License.

Ann & George had a son John Chester Secord on 22 Feb 1872.

Ann died six months later on 24 Aug 1873 at age 23. Her husband remarried a few years later. Her son appears to have lived with Ann's parents, appearing in the 1881 and 1891 Censuses with the Kelleys.

Ann is buried in the cemetery behind Christ Church McNab in Niagara-on-the-Lake, next to her parents.
