Susan Arlene Young, 84, of Cole Camp, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at her home. She was born on January 12, 1937, in Spice, West Virginia, a daughter of William Robert and Vada Virginia (Copenhaver) Allen.

She attended school in Lewisburg, West Virginia, where she was active in band and as a majorette. She met her future husband, David Young, in Philadelphia where he was stationed while serving in the Navy

On May 28, 1955, in Stover, she was united in marriage to David Goe Young. This union was blessed with the gift of three children, David Allen, Steven Avery, and Katrina Eileen.

In 1964, they moved to Cole Camp and then in the early 80's, they moved to Nevada and then back to Stover in 1990. Susan cleaned houses and businesses. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working in the yard and tending to her flowers and houseplants. Her favorite pastimes were playing Bingo, working crossword puzzles, and watching game shows, old Westerns, The Voice, and America's Got Talent.

She is survived by a daughter, Katrina Plain and her husband Russell of Cole Camp; two sons, David Young and his wife Lori of Cole Camp and Steven Young and his wife Rosie of San Antonio, Texas; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Vada Allen, a brother, Robert Junior Allen, and husband David Young.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021, at Abundant Life Christian Center near Cole Camp with Pastor Herbert Robertson and Pastor Jason Veale officiating. Burial will be in Cole Camp Cemetery near Cole Camp.

A visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday and the Church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to Cole Camp Cemetery or Benton County Hospice in care of the Fox Funeral Home, PO Box 37, Cole Camp, Missouri 65325.
