(nee Abel) Entered into the Fullness of Eternal Life on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at the age of 73. Resident of Mequon, formerly of Whitefish Bay. Beloved partner and wife for 28 years of Carleton “Ken” Thompson. Loving mother of John and Tim Hibscher; step-mother of Amy (Viseth) Moua, Rebecca Harris, and Chris (Shannon) Thompson. Proud grandmother of Laurel, Evan and Robin Hibscher; Nora and Vivian Harris and 1LT Kegan Thompson. Dear sister of Roger (Alice) Abel and of the late Ron (Marge) Abel. Aunt of Tracey (Scott) Jorgensen, Kristen (Dan) Koenigs, Jennifer (Daniel) Webb and Sue (Don) Ellingsen. Sister-in-law of Sandy (Fred) Wenzel. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends.
Kathy had a true love for life, she enjoyed travelling with Ken, boating on Lake Poygan, playing golf, riding her bike, puzzling, cards, and enjoying time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Kathy will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Private family services will be held. Memorials in Kathy’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
