Phillip G. Thompson, 79, of Kaiser, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 8, 2021 at University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. He was born on December 19, 1941, in Lake Ozark, a son of the late William “Noogie” and Louise (Reven) Thompson. Phillip was united in marriage to his true love, Darlene Cochran, on January 15, 1969 in Iberia.

Phillip attended School of the Osage. Phillip retired after 30 years of employment with School of the Osage and farming. He and Darlene were proud owners of a Missouri Century Farm which recognizes families who have owned farmland for more than 100 years. Phillip was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the Flatwoods Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to auctions. Most of all, he cherished the times spent with the family.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Darlene; children: Kevin Thompson (Shelley) and Starla Pendleton (Mike), both of Lake Ozark; sister: Jonda Swofford of Rocky Mount; grandchildren: Lucas Davis, Levi Davis, Madison Thompson and Macy Grace Thompson; great-grandchildren: Bentley Bauman, Paisley Bauman and another precious one on the way.

Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Millard-Rekus Family Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Earl Woods officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Hawkins Cemetery in Brumley, Missouri.

Expressions of sympathy can be made to Flatwoods Baptist Church.
