Linda Geraldine Howell passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Colonial Terrace Care Center in Pryor, OK. She was 65 years old.
A longtime resident of Payne County, Linda was born August 4, 1955, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was raised in Cushing by her loving parents, Herb and Barbara Howell, both of whom predeceased her. She attended Cushing Public Schools and graduated in the Class of 1973.
Apart from working odd jobs and pursuing courses in nursing and psychology early in her life, Linda loved to travel and enjoyed engaging in conversations about philosophy and spirituality. For a time, she participated in prison ministry, sharing her sense of the spiritual through music. She cared deeply for animals and in her later years devoted herself to fostering stray cats and dogs.
She is survived by her son Billy Howell and his wife Erika Ostergaard of Fairfax, VA; her brothers James Howell and Ricky Howell of Cushing, OK; her cousin Joni Foglesong and her husband Steve Foglesong of Edmond, OK; and her nephew Jim Howell of Stillwater, OK.
