Sandra Simmons, age 72, passed away February 6, 2021. Born on January 27, 1949 to the late Albert and June Murray,
Sandra is also preceded in passing by her siblings Brenda Murray Brown and Albert Murray.
Here to carry on her memory is her adoring husband of 23 years, Ervin Simmons; their children Dawn Watson, Erisa Watson, Raymond Mercer (Heather), LaTosha Fields (Michael); grandchildren JeRonda Watson, Rolanda Hamilton, Re’Mone Watson, Te’Quaan Watson, Zhakee Brasher, Zhylah Zabad, Daviawn Blackmon, Isaiah Mercer, Zakyra Mercer, Raymond Mercer Jr., Carmelo Mercer, CieAyra Fields, Ebonee Mercer, Alajah Mercer, and Halie Mercer; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Gerald Fahiym Murray; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Sandra leaves behind a remarkable legacy. She never met a stranger and left a positive impact on every person she met. She was an avid member of First Baptist Church and received her Medical Assistant certification from Brown Mackie College.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 12, 2021 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, with a funeral service in Sandra’s honor beginning immediately at 2:00 pm.
