James Blacksten died at the County Infirmary on Wednesday last week after a long illness of paralysis, at the age of 77 years, 2 months, 22 days. His remains were taken to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Hoffman, Thursday, were services were held on Friday conducted by Rev. F.B. LaCount.
He was born on December 26, 1934 in Mansfield, Ohio, and was the father of seven children, all whom survive except for one. He was proceeded in death by a son, William E. Blacksten. The living children are Mary Hoffman, Lizzie Aldrich, Almedia McCoy, Ella Miecher, Rollo Blacksten, also survives twenty one grand children, and five great grandchildren.
