Gloria Lee Nowlin, 75, went home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2021. She was born on March 18, 1945 to the late Overseer Bertha Koger, and William Koger. In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Alfonso Nowlin Sr., four sisters; Thelma Linear, Mary Turner, Bertha Neely and Lily Bernice Drake; an aunt, Julia Hannah; three brothers, Percy James Koger, Gene Koger, and Herman (Loretta) Koger all of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, along with three nieces; Jonalinn Haley, Benita Kelly of Charlotte, N.C., Darylynn Scales; one nephew: Ronald Turner, and two stepsons; Alvin and Kenneth Fitzpatrick.

She is survived by one son, Malcolm Alfonso Nowlin Jr, of Morgantown, WV, One stepchild; Stephanie Nowlin, Milwaukee, WI, and two sisters: Rosalee Koger, of Philadelphia, Pa, and Annie Pearl Sanders, of Charlotte NC, and one brother-in-law, Eugene Drake of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Nowlin was ordained as a minister at Emmanuel Pentecostal Church. She is a member of Agape Life Ministries, under Pastor L. Leo and Regina R. Riley. She formerly served as a minister, and mother, at Morning Star Baptist Church, under Pastor Wesley Dobbs.

The family will receive friends at Domico’s Funeral Home, in Fairmont, from 6 to 8pm on February 11, 2021. The funeral service will be held at 11am on February 12, 2021, at the Agape Life Ministries, with Pastor L. Leo Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont.
