Mrs. Joan Louise Brooks age 83 of Canton, Georgia passed away Monday February 8, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00AM Thursday February 11, 2021 in the Sanctuary of Canton First United Methodist Church with interment following in the Georgia National Cemetery on Monday February 22nd. Reverend Coy Hinton will officiate.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband of 64 years; George Brooks, Canton, GA, son; George Walter (Sandy Gunter) Brooks, Alto, GA, daughter; Elizabeth Brooks Hunter, Canton, GA, son; David (Jennifer) Brooks, Canton, GA, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brooks was a teacher for 15 years at Hooper Alexander Elementary School in Dekalb County, GA, a loving military wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
