Jessica Rieffel Talley, age 36, was called from her childhood home to her eternal home in Heaven on January 31, 2021.

She passed peacefully surrounded by her family after a courageous two-year battle with breast cancer. Jessica fought until the end with courage, strength, grace, and unwavering faith. Jessica was a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Jessica was the loving wife of Adam Talley for eight years, and the devoted mother of Stella Marie.

She is the daughter of Cindy Lacour and Steven Rieffel.

Jessica was preceded in death by “Big Ben” Lacour III, her grandparents Betty and Oscar Rieffel, Ike Galyean, and her great aunt Claire Cresson.

Jessica is survived by her husband Adam, her daughter Stella Marie, her parents, Cindy Lacour and Steven Rieffel (Teresa), her brothers, Ben Lacour IV and Brandon Lacour (Emily), her grandparents John and Janice Montelepre, Carmelite Galyean, B.J. and Jessica Lacour, also, her father-in-law, Weldon Talley, mother-in-law, Anna Talley, brother-in-law Nicholas Talley, sister-in-law, Allison Talley Newman (Dean), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and the McGlinchey family. Jessica had a passion for living her life to the fullest.

She was a courageous person, with a great sense of humor, a positive attitude, and a one-of-a-kind personality that would bring people together. To know Jessica was to love her; she had a generous spirit, an infectious laugh, and a beautiful smile that would light up any room.

Spending time with family and friends was always a priority to Jessica. She loved planning vacations, events, and volunteering. Jessica was an avid Saints fan and Mardi Gras fanatic.

She was an employee of McGlinchey Stafford for the past 15 years, most recently as the firm’s New File Opening Coordinator. Jessica spearheaded the Louisiana State Bar Association Secret Santa Program for the McGlinchey Law Firm and served on their Firm Events Committee.

Throughout her life and illness, she maintained a strong faith in God and devotion to her Catholic faith. She will be greatly missed by friends and family and will never be forgotten.

The family would like to thank Father Beau Charbonnet, her brothers Ben and Brandon Lacour, Emily Lacour, Emily Hattier, Laurie Doster, the hospice nurses at Compassus, Sandy, Carly, and Candice, and Dr. Carrie Marquette and Dr. Paul Monsour for their expert and loving care during Jessica’s most difficult days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, 901 Beverly Garden Dr. in Metairie, on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12:00PM.

A private interment for the family will be held at Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans.
