Thomas Russell Wagner was born October 8, 1933 and went to meet his heavenly father on February 5, 2021.

Tom leaves behind his beloved wife, Evelyn Louise Wagner, whom he shared 37 years of wonderful and magical moments and memories with. He is grateful for the loving care she gave right up to his final days.

Tom also leaves behind his 3 daughters, Susan Arlene Gahler, Sabrina Lynn Hoffman (Jeffrey), and Sandra Anne Perrine (James); step-children, Debbie Santogrossii (Dan), Harold Yoder (Linda), Valery Anderson (Mark) and Jodi Shaw (Scott) . His pride and joy were his 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He got the biggest kick out of watching them play and horse around. They always made him laugh. He will always be with us in our hearts, until we meet him again.

He was the oldest son of Russell William Wagner, Sr. and Dorothy Fanny Wagner who preceded him in death. Brother of Ronald Franklin Wagner (deceased), Richard Gary Wagner (deceased), Russell William Wagner, Jr. (Vivian), Linda Lee Holder (Mike), Gary Edward Wagner (Chellie) and many nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Macomber High School Class of 1951 and the University of Toledo. Tom was a very hard worker and instilled this in his children. He trained as a mechanic in the United States Marine Corp., Semper Fi. After the Marine Corp he worked at Cummins Diesel. Then made a career as a Technical Service Center Instructor for Champion Spark Plug. Tom also enjoyed working on cars for family and friends. Cars- new and classic were a favorite of his. Racing when younger and attending and viewing Nascar events was always a thrill for him. He was even able to do a ride along at Daytona Motor Speedway, in which he said, “Does this car go any faster?” He was a proud member of the Maumee Valley Thunderbird Club which he was a part of for many years. A 1960 Ford Galaxie was his most prized possession.

The family would like to thank Ohio Living Hospice for all of their help during this difficult time. Following Tom’s wishes he will be cremated and distribution of ashes will be private. Any memorial contributions should be made to Ohio Living Hospice or a charity of the donors choice.
