Wanda McMillan Dickerson – age 78 of Knoxville passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021, at Ft. Sanders Hospital.

She was of the Baptist faith and had attended Draughon Business College. Wanda retired from Willis-Corroon Insurance Co. after 37 years of service as the Assistant Vice-President and Assistant Secretary. Wanda was a kind and loving soul who loved to influence the younger generation as much as they influence her. She loved gardening and canning, and she had a great admiration for wildlife, the outdoors, and travel. She appreciated the creation as well as the Creator. Her wisdom and character will live on in all of us.

Preceded in death by husband, Clyde “Sonny” Dickerson; parents, John Pryor McMillan and Ruby Esther Smith McMillan; and brother, Johnny L. McMillan.

Survived by step-daughters, Donna “Sissy” Dickerson and Connie Dickerson Walker (Brian); step-granddaughter, Megan Walker Ballard (Tyler); and step-great grandchildren, Oakleigh and Holland Ballard.

The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, February 12, 2021, at Bridges Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet 11:45 AM on Saturday at Trentville Cemetery for a 12:00 PM graveside service with Rev. Jimmy Sherrod officiating. Pallbearers: Roger E. Wright, John McMillan, Daniel McMillan, Shang Dunlap, Alden Dunlap, and Eli Purcell.
