Beverly Lou Carter, 92, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021, in her home, with her husband and family by her side, under the care of Sanford Hospice.

Beverly was born January 10, 1929 to, William and Karen (Walhood) Sandbeck, in McVille, ND. She later moved to Fargo, ND to attend school, graduating from Fargo Central High in 1946. After high school, Beverly attended NDSU. While at NDSU, Beverly was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She graduated in 1950 and started teaching Home Economics in Wishek, ND.

Beverly married, John James Carter, on June 12, 1953 in Olivet Lutheran Church. This began a beautiful partnership, lasting 67 years of many adventures.

She later worked as a secretary for the Animal / Vet Science Departments at NDSU, she retired after 28 years. She enjoyed sewing, reading, fishing, and spending summers at Grace Lake with her family.

Beverly is survived by her husband, John Carter, Fargo, ND, a son, Jack Carter, Fargo, ND, two daughters, Susan Carter, Fargo, ND, and Karen (Dean) Riemer, West Fargo, ND. Grandchildren, Robyn Scherling, Katie Damm, Nicholas Riemer, Stephanie Carter. Great grandchildren, Caden Damm, Maverick and Addison Scherling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven Carter, brother, Burton Sandbeck and a great granddaughter, Caleigh Damm.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with a visitation starting at 1:00 P.M. at Olivet Lutheran Church, Fargo, ND. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
