Lisa was born on February 10, 1963 in West Palm Beach to the late Joe Edward Dorsey and Ruth Elvira Frederick Dorsey.

Lisa graduated from John I. Leonard High School in 1981 where she was a member of the John I. Leonard Lancer Band as a majorette captain and a flutist.

She graduated from Clark University (formerly Clark College) in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, and where she also participated in the Clark University Band.

Lisa also received an associate degree in Computer Science from Northwood Institute in 1992.

She worked for the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts and as a substitute teacher for the Palm Beach County School District.

Lisa was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and sang in the Gospel Chorus.

She was a member of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Delta Chapter and a former member of the Ebony Chorale. Lisa was also involved with the Youth for Christ after-school program and the Roosevelt Estates Homeowners Association.

Loving memories of Lisa will be cherished by her sister Denise E. Carter (Tyrone), Indian Harbour Beach, FL; aunts Alice Winn (Ulysses) and Loretta Kinsey, both of Riviera Beach, FL; one goddaughter, Chardae Revere; close friend Louise Nelson and a host of cousins and friends.
